3.5 Stars bumped up.
I liked this one and yet I didn't. I'm not sure if I can explain it, it may just be my personal preferences. The writing was very good, the pace was good, and the story took a few turns that surprised me. I think that I was bothered/frustrated by Tania's hot then cold attitude towards Jared; it went on too long for me. There were some things I felt were a bit over the top, but went with this story. I won't say what they were because it would spoil too much. Overall I liked Tania; she's a very strong and determined individual.
Jared is a man who has never known love and has always been lonely. Finding Tania changes that, even if she is brought to him in a way he would never have done. Once I got past his arrogance, which is deserved if annoying, I fell for Jared. He is loving and tender with Tania. He understands her and accepts her for who she is flaws and all.
I would recommend this, especially to those who like contemporary romance with angst and mystery. Oh, and some HOT times between the H and h. I do wish there had been more to the end; I got my HEA, but a less abrupt conclusion would've been more satisfying.

I would rather read her mysteries. I started with this author many years ago and have read nearly all of her books.
Good read
I looked foreword to reading Forever dream by Iris Johnson, I have read all her books ,and have never been disappointed. Until now, the romance of the two main characters hooking up. was so drawn out, and the action was very limited unlike her other books. If your looking for a romance with out much action this book is for you.
I loved this book. The hero was so romantic. and loving, and totally smitten with the heroine. She was afraid of commitment, and their love story was enchanting. What's not to love? at least for me.
PS The scene with the wind chimes was exquisitely lyrical, what a great, great book!
Very much a love swept book from years past. Is one I, and hopefully you will read more then once. Girl forced into situation against her will and was forced to remain- at no choice of the Hero. They learned each other - shared a great passion. With easily being able to loose the cheesy nicknames used, you could see the couple together 50 years later.
The one upmanship games Tania and Jared played were highly entertaining and just plain funny. The concept of the story was a bit too idealistic, but stretched the imagination. The romance was pure Iris Johansen, steamy, part laughter, and part unbelievable tenderness. The ending left me hanging, again! I wouldn't mind so much if there was notice of which book would continue the story.
