Ok, where do I start? Man, this book had me hooked from the beginning! I was really hesitant to read this book because of the premise. I don't like books about cheating, and I definitely don't like books involving a love triangle. I especially don't like books that end in a cliffhanger, but man did this author deliver and do it right! I was immediately drawn into this book. It is told from 3 different POVs and I think that is what makes this book so good. You get to see exactly what each person is thinking and what they are really doing and what their reasons are for their actions. In the beginning you aren't really sure where this book is coming from. You see that Griffin loves his wife, you see that he is trying really hard to make her happy, you see that she is completely indifferent towards him, and you get to see that he is completely beaten down by this. Enter Angelina. You know right off the bat that there will be trouble. He is a vulnerable man. She is obviously attracted to him. You know that makes for trouble, but I found myself asking if it really is trouble. He is in desperate need of attention and validation. And Angelina is none to happy to give it out. You do get to see the battle of the conscious from both Griffin and Angelina, but honestly you see the writing on the walls. Their affair was unstoppable. And after seeing his wife's thinking, the way she treated him, and her deceitfulness, you find it really hard to sympathize for her. As the story goes on, you get to see how really terrible his wife is. There is a reason, and the book does hint to what that reasoning is but you don't find out completely in this book. And Angelina, she just seems too good to be true for Griffin. She is playing on his every need, and you can't help but wonder what is really going on with her. You know that there is something, but you just can't put your finger on it. There are so many twists and turns and as the story went on, I found myself yelling and gasping and shouting out "no way!!". And when it all comes out and everyone is laid bear, Griffin is finally ready to lay waste! I can't wait for the next book! I can't wait for Griffin to raise up and redeem himself. He deserves his revenge, and then some!Product details

This book was amazing!! That Colette is a piece of work!! Lbs. I loved the story line and I almost wanted to cry because of the cliff hanger!! Looking forward to the next book!!
Finally finished Sudden Desires and I absolutely loved it! So many lies, deceit, cheating, the chemistry, and the 3 POVs too! I can't wait to find out what happens next! Is it 2016 yet?
Okay, so I'm in the minority here (don't kill me!), I really didn't like it from the start. I found the story and character of Colette poor and too obvious. As a reader I don't want everything so literal, I know we are suppose to HATE Colette but it was just too over the top for me. Griffin's character was too weak for my liking, too perfect of a husband, he complains that when his wife says how much she doesn't want flowers or chocolates, he feels like he can't please her, well, here's a thought ,- DON'T buy them! She likes art find something in that, then if she still complains, just stop altogether. Angelina, I found no connection whatsoever and even less between Griffin and Angelina chemistry or lack of. What's with the Mr Boyd all the time?
This book just did not work for me, I can't recommend it but I have read other books of Sharona's and I think she is talented. My favorite is the Beware duet series. LOVED IT!
I loved this book. It was full of surprises I wasnt expecting. I cannot wait for the next book and I wrote and told Shanora this and how I felt about her book. I dont usually do this, but I must have the next book....
WOW. This is a book you can't put it down. I fell in love with Griffin. It seems that everyone is out to get him, even those he trusts. Was so glad that Colette told him about how his lawyer and best friend had betrayed him before he signed the rest of his life away. It's a different kind of story, but oh so good. Cannot wait for Book #2. Thank you Shanora Williams for another terrific story.
Well, another Shanora Williams story that has left me with yet another tremendous book hangover. I can't wait to read the next installment. I'm a bit conflicted because while I do kind of, sort of hate Collette I can't help but feel she is the cold-hearted bitch she is for a reason. Bradley, maybe? And that family of hers, wow! It made me feel a little bad for her. Just a little, though. She treats Griffin horribly and while I don't condone adultery I can see why he turns to another woman for attention and affection. I like the chemistry between Griffin & Angelina, even though she has her secrets. I'm dying to find out where this story is going. Shanora, please don't make me wait too long.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked getting to know all the characters having their POV in each chapter. Ms. Williams you are a Genius when it comes to this story. You made me dislike Colette and root for Angelina at first. But as we delve into the POV of Colette there is a story behind her unhappiness with herself, Griffin and their marriage. I can't wait to find out what caused the breakdown In their marriage and see if they can get back to that happy place again. She loved Griffin at one point and it kind of makes me want to root for Colette and Griffin to both overcome adultery, forgive each other and go back to how they were in the beginning. It also leads me to Griffin. Never underestimate a Woman scorned and you showed that perfectly in Colette as she walked out on him. Loved it!!! While I do like Angelina and Griffin. I'm rooting for Colette in part 2. Can't wait!!!!
